The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic, savoury and opens with notes of roasted aromatic herbs (roasted rosemary, roasted thyme), a subtle rock minerality, as well as violet, iris and dried rose in the background. After aeration, we also find a hint of tar and peppermint. The fruits on the nose are gourmand, sweet and juicy. We first smell wild strawberry, fresh morello cherry, crushed raspberry, which are then complemented by aromas of dried blackcurrant and blackberry. The spiciness and roasting (liquorice, a hint of dried vanilla, nutmeg, coffee, toasted hazelnut, a hint of chocolate) are delicate, enveloped and add elegance to the nose. The palate is enveloping, savoury and gourmand, with fine, powdery and cocoa tannins (but tight and a little drying, due to the youth of the wine), as well as a good bitterness of fresh cherry and grapefruit in the background. We also feel notes of blackcurrant, morello cherry, dried red cherry and cranberries, associated with toasted hints (toasted almond, toasted hazelnut), spicy (licorice, dried vanilla, nutmeg), as well as a floral hint (dried rose, cornflower, a hint of iris) and mineral (tar) in the background. The finish is persistent, salivating and lively, with a sharp acidity and a good bitterness of cocoa. A solid wine, with a firm tannic structure, and which still needs to open up.
