The nose is fruity, with some controlled power. There are notes of black cherry confit, crushed black plum and more lightly fig combined with fine hints of strawberry confit, a fine hint of date, nutmeg, blond tobacco and a hint of star anise, almost a discreet floral hint and a fine hint of cardamom. The palate is fruity, juicy, with a nice acidic backbone, good definition, a certain tension, energy and a certain gourmandize. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crushed blackcurrant, jammy black cherry and, more slightly, toasted hazelnut, almond, black olive, nutmeg and discreet hints of sweet tobacco. The finish is tightening and discreetly marked by extraction. The tannins are finely tightened.
