Cantina Rapino – Gira 2010, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo

The nose is spicy, racy and offers a certain power, an stretched side as well as deepness. It reveals notes of wild cassis, ripe boysenberry and small notes of pepper associated with touches of local aromatic herbs, dried plum as well as hints of dry local soil and dried black olive. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, an acidulous frame, minerality, a good definition as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, small dried black fruits and small notes of black olive associated with touches of humus, animal as well as a hint of cep and toasted (in the background).
