Cantina di Lisandro – Lancella 2014 – Pallagrello Bianco, Terre del Volturno IGT

The nose is well-built, fruity, precise and offers a certain intensity and power to the aromatic. There are notes of quince, citron and small notes of fresh apricot, associated with touches of nutmeg, fine hints of mango, crushed brugnon, as well as fine, almost floral hints and a subtle hint of almost toasted almond. The palate is beautifully juicy, fruity, tangy and presents energy, a vibrant side, a tangy frame, precision, suppleness and good definition. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of apricot, juicy/tangy quince and small notes of small juicy yellow fruits/medlar, as well as subtle hints of almost pineapple and racy minerality. Good length. A subtle tannic hint of nutmeg. A nicely balanced wine, full of finesse. A very different style from the previous one, but the vinification has changed.
