The nose is fruity, precise, finely tight and finely contained. There are notes of wild cassis and ripe violet plum, associated with touches of tonka bean, fine cocoa hints, as well as a hint of pepper. The palate is beautifully juicy, fruity, mineral, it presents a lovely fatness in finesse, precision, accuracy, suppleness, elegance and a melodious side and a tangy frame. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, violet plum and small notes of bright cassis, combined with touches of small brilliant red fruits, as well as hints of sense of the place, licorice stick, cocoa, juicy/bright black plum and a touch of sappy in the background. There’s a subtle hint of good bitterness on the finish/persistence/needs time and decanting. Pulpiness and good definition, as well as a subtle hint of sappy, almost geranium in the background. Freshness and brilliance of fruit. Mellow, tannic mouthfeel. Good length. The tannins are mellow and well-built.
