The nose offers fruit, a certain power, a sappy side, tension, precision, a certain elegant austerity, depth, spices and a lovely racy/local garrigue side. It reveals notes of wild cassis, small concentrated wild berries and black pepper, associated with touches of small juniper berries, rosemary, roasted thyme, as well as fine hints of black pepper, roasted and a subtle, almost balsamic hint. The palate is fruity, balanced, supple, fresh and offers a tangy frame, minerality, mellowness and precision. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis and small wild black berries, combined with touches of black pepper, crushed red berries, a hint of black plum, as well as fine hints of roasting, a subtle, almost sappy hint (in the background) and tobacco. A fine hint of iodine in the background. Good length. The tannins are finely iodized and gourmand. Good persistence.
