The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is gourmand, textured and complex: it offers an expressive spiciness, a beautiful concentration of fruits, as well as a delicacy of floral and herbaceous notes. We find in particular the aromas of juicy fresh morello cherry, black plum, wild blueberry, raspberry coulis, associated with notes of mint (or even menthol), rosemary and dried pine nuts, fresh rose, peony , as well as spicy notes (liquorice, fresh vanilla, ground cumin, cloves) and roasting (toasted pine nuts, heated wood, sweet coffee). The palate offers fleshiness of very ripe fruit, depth as well as a robustness and gourmandise, thanks to ample, silky and generous tannins. We find the flavors of dark chocolate plum (or even prunes), juicy morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, roasted red cherry, raspberry and cherry jam, as well as a touch of crème de cassis. , a pronounced spiciness (liquorice, nutmeg, vanilla, clove), notes of mint chocolate, flowers (peony, lilac), as well as a resinous hint of pine needles and a touch of roasting (coffee, toasted pine nuts). The finish is persistent, rich and savoury, refreshed by a salivating acidity, but integrated and supple, as well as a fine coffee bitterness.
