The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is discreet, but the aromas open up after aeration and offer a nice bightness. It reveals the delicate sweetness of candied red fruits (raspberry coulis, red cherry, blueberry and forest fruit jam), accompanied by notes of fresh wild strawberry, red currant, raspberry and blueberry. The wine also expresses an elegant floral bouquet – notes of peony, lily and cornflower. The spices are delicate and refined – there are sweet spices (a hint of cinnamon, liquorice, nutmeg and clove as well as cocoa) as well as a very light note of pine sap in the background. On the palate, the wine offers elegance and lightness (in a good sense) while remaining juicy, open and fruity. It expresses the flavours of ripe strawberry, red cherry, red currant, blueberry, accompanied by floral touches of lily and rose petal, the freshness of liquorice and mint as well as a delicate note of white pepper and mineral touch of graphite with good bitterness on the finish. The wine is enveloping, silky, with fine, velvety tannins and a juicy, fruity finish, with a fine note of peppermint. Beautiful persistence in the mouth and a lot of finesse.
