The nose is fruity and offers a certain controlled power as well as concentration. It reveals notes of raspberry, bright blackberry and more slightly small bright / juicy black redcurrants associated with touches of Bigarreau cherry, licorice, cherry blossoms, with fine hints of thyme, lavender as well as a discreet hint of liquorice and spices. The palate is fruity, discreetly tight, well-balanced and offers pulp, fat, gourmande, juiciness, a good definition as well as a fine and elegant tannic structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright Bigarreau cherry, juicy / pulpy blueberry and more slightly pulpy / juicy raspberry associated with small touches of small red currants, bay laurel, sage, fine hints of liquorice, of tobacco as well as a subtle hint of local scrubland, nutmeg, cinnamon and very discreet hints of toasted almonds. A subtle bitterness on the finish / persistence. A nice gourmet wine, bright and offering purity.
