Calmel & Joseph – La Pointe 2021 – Corbières – Languedoc

The nose is fresh and offers a certain gourmandize as well as a certain concentration. There are notes of boysen blackberry, crushed raspberry and small notes of quite ripe small red fruits (but fresh) associated with touches of sweet spices, fresh tabaco and a subtle hint almost fresh lilac hint in the background. The mouth is fruity and offers a beautiful freshness and drinkability, suppleness, pulpiness, juiciness as well as a mineral frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy/ juicy blackberry, pulpy/ juicy cherryand small notes of small red fruits associated with fresh-juicy plum touches as well as lilac hints, badian and a discreet almost sage hint in the background. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
