Cain Five 2006 Spring Mountain District – Napa Valley

Cain Five 2006 Spring Mountain District – Napa Valley

The nose is elegant, precise, ripe, delicate and airy and offers a very discreet, delicate texture. It reveals notes of quite ripe blackberry, small wild red fruits and small notes of tobacco, undergrowth, fine hints of zan, as well as a discreet hint of graphene and flowers. The palate is well-built, supple, airy, elegant, racy and offers good definition, gourmandise, suppleness and fine unctuosity. In mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy cassis and small notes of cornflower, associated with touches of small roasted-elegant red fruits, as well as a hint of undergrowth, cypress, floral notes, of small local flowers and a subtle hint of star anise and pretty salinity. Lovely texture and mellowness on the finish. Good length. A nicely fresh, gourmand wine.
