C des Carmes Haut-Brion 2022 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is nicely aromatic, with a lovely texture, fine fatness and precision and a fine, sappy, fresh-infusion side. It presents good definition and elegance. It reveals notes of fresh flowers, crunchy wild blackberry and small notes of small notes of tangerine zest, associated with touches of fresh infusion and fresh strawberry as well as discreet hints of violet and almost juniper berry. The nose is expansive, with a subtle hint of pepper. The palate is well-built, fresh, supple, racy, gourmand juicy, pulpy, with tension, brilliance/bright, depth and elegant darkness. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, fresh violet and small note of fresh sage, almost tangerine zest, associated with fine cocoa and toasted hints. A lovely cocoa-scented velvety on the finish/persistence. A nicely fresh, racy, fresh clay-type wine, with creamy plum notes, almost fresh rosemary hints. Good length and persistence. A lovely play on good bitters. An almost hint of citrus mesocarp. Well-built, fresh and supple, with persistence and a hint of citrus.
