The nose is fruity, juicy, fresh, quite powerful, racy and offers a fine concentration as well as a small depthness. It reveals notes of fresh cassis, fresh blueberry and crushed wild strawberry combined with fine touches of crushed ripe redcurrants, flowers, gray pepper, a touch soil of forest / eucalyptus as well as discreet hints of spices, black tea, racy minerality, a subtle hint of cocoa and an imperceptible hint of toasted almond. The wine needs to be decanted. The palate is fruity, soft, well-balanced, slightly tight and offers a small tension as well as a fine mineral frame. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of crushed blackberry, crushed cassis and small notes of blueberry associated with touches of cherry jam, a very discreet hint of orange (in the background), strawberry as well as fine touches tonka bean, toasted oak, nougatine and a touch of almond. Tannins are fine and slightly firm. Good length. There is a touch of pepper on the finish. The finish is slightly powerful.
