The nose is spicy and offers some power and purity of fruit. There are notes of crisp blackcurrant, crunchy blueberry and slightly crushed currant combined with hints of toast, roast, toast and fine pepper and a discreet almost violet/rosemary quality. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, smoothness, roundness, good definition and a certain gourmandise. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy Morello cherry, pulpy blackcurrant and more slightly pulpy/juicy plum with hints of violet, crushed/pulpy red berries and hints of black pepper, roast, cocoa and fine blueberry and sweet spice. The tannins are supple. Sapid on the finish.
