The nose is elegant, aromatic, powerful, fair, nicely structured but all in finesse, control, accuracy and with depth. It expresses notes of concentrated blackberry, concentrated blackcurrant and more slightly – small roasted red fruits associated with touches of balsamic, tonka bean as well as small touches of dry local earth / local dry soil, hints of blueberry, infusion, incense. The palate is nicely led, fruity, fresh, mineral and offers delicacy in its power / concentration, a nice airiness. It expresses notes of roasted-juicy wild red berries, dense purple plum and more lightly – concentrated blackcurrant associated with touches of small red fruits/quite ripe red plum as well as hints of graphene, toast, cardamom, camphor as well as fine hints of almost dry aromatic herbs/rosemary/wild pepper, a discreet hint of vanilla/toasted hazelnut on the finish. The tannins are velvety, elegant and juicy, like a discreet veil/powdery suspension in the background. The wine benefits from being decanted.
