Brezza – Vigna Santa Rosalla 2016 – Barbera d’Alba

The nose is fruity, gourmand and well-built. It reveals notes of hazelnut and toasted notes associated with small notes of blackberry, plum, cherry, fleshy cassis as well as a touch of blond tobacco and slight hints of nutmeg. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful suavity, a beautiful acidulous frame, minerality, precision, gourmandise as well as a good maturity of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, acidulous/ripe redcurrant and small notes of Quetsche plum associated with small touches of cornflower / lily as well as slight hints of almond (in the background). Tannins are fine and elegant.
