Breaux Vineyards – 2019 The Fog, Nebbiolo Reserve – Virginia

Beautiful nose offering delicacy, texture and an airy side. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and small notes of quite ripe cherry associated with touches of violet, camphor, fine hints of black pepper as well as discreet hints of Cubeb pepper as well as a subtle hint of lily, saffron and toast. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, tension, concentration, precision, a beautiful definition, deepness, a nice minerality, a nice freshness, a beautiful matter, a certain unctuosity as well as salinity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, crushed plum and small notes of quite ripe black cherry associated with a touch of dried small red fruits, fine hints of Cubeb pepper, toasted, roasted, an almost subtle balsamic hint as well as fine hints of nutmeg and toasted. A very discreet saline hint in the background. A discreet sappy and infusion hint in the background. Good work on the good bittersness. A very discreet dried fruit side in the background.
