Bouchard Père & Fils, Domaine – Les Grèves 2018 – Beaune Premier Cru

The nose is precise, elegant as well as all in subtlety and restraint (elegant).  It reveals notes of ripe and bright Boysen berry, cherries and slight notes of small blue fruits associated with touches of lilac, a fine touch of cinnamon, blond tobacco and a subtle hint of bergamot. The mouth is fruity, racy, well structured, precise, tight and offers juiciness, a beautiful minerality, elegant side/guideline, juiciness, energy, a beautiful finesse of the grain/freshness. The wine expresses notes of fresh/juicy blackberry, small red currant and small notes of rose associated with fresh lilac, fresh pulm as well as fine hints of fresh blond tobacco, cinnamon, a subtle hint of licorice, vanilla and cola (in the background) Good Length.
