The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is perfumed, with a dominant woody and spicy aromas at the beginning. It expresses notes of toasted wood, toasted hazelnut (even a hint of caramelized hazelnut), cocoa and mint chocolate, combined with sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg, a hint of vanilla), which is complemented by herbaceous aromas (rosemary, thyme, a hint of dried mint) and floral (peony, violet). We also find ripe fruits (raspberry, morello cherry, red cherry, blackberry, wild strawberry). The palate is juicy, straight and tangy. It expresses notes of tangy red cherry, raspberry, morello cherry, strawberry and red currants, combined with a hint of blackberry, fresh flowers (lily, violet) and aromatic herbs (dried mint, a hint of rosemary). We also find notes of roasting (toasted hazelnut, toasted wood, bitter cocoa) and spicy (liquorice, gray pepper, nutmeg). The tannins are fine, structured and sapid (good bitterness of coffee and cocoa). Good length and a refreshing acidity and gourmet chocolate notes that appear on the persistence. A well-structured wine, with juicy fruity material and solid but fine tannins.
