Bosco de’ Medici – Pompeii 2024 – Pompeiano Rosso IGT

The nose is fruity and offers a certain concentration, power, intensity and precision. It reveals notes of concentrated cassis and morello cherry, associated with touches of red pepper, cubeb pepper, fine hints of licorice stick, as well as hints of small roasted-elegant wild berries and a discreet hint of sappy/local grove. The palate is fruity, juicy, suave, gourmand and offers a tangy frame, a certain creaminess and a lovely finesse in its texture. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright wild cassis, morello cherry and small notes of small bright red fruits, combined with touches of lilac, wild flowers, a hint of pepper, fine sappy hints, oregano, as well as a lovely racy minerality. Good length and persistence. The tannins are precise, graphenous and racy. Good tangy persistence and gourmandise.
