Bosco de’ Medici – Pompeii 2023 – Pompeiano Rosato IGT

Lovely, elegant, fruity nose offering fleshiness, substance, a certain depth/richness and texture. It reveals notes of kumquat, blood orange and small notes of medlar, associated with touches of spices, a subtle hint of rosemary (in the background), fine hints of white flowers and a discreet hint of small wild berries. The palate is well-built, fruity, juicy, fresh, mineral and offers a tangy frame, suavity, suppleness and good definition. It also presents a certain elegance and straightness in accuracy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh cherry, blood orange and small notes of medlar, combined with a touch of crushed brugnon, as well as fine hints of spices and an almost discreetly aniseed/liquoriced note and rosemary in the background. A subtle hint of salinity in the background. Nice freshness.
