Bluemont – Sauvignon Blanc 2023 – Virginia

The nose is aromatic and offers a fine complexity as well as a small floral side in the background. It reveals notes of ripe white grapefruit, fleshy flat peach and small notes of creamy small white fruits associated with fine hints of white flowers and crushed lychee. The palate is nicely built, fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, tension, precision, suavity, roundness as well as a certain suppleness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy lychee, white nectarine and small notes of bright granny apple associated with fine touches of sweet white grapefruit. Good length. A subtle hint of mesocarp (in the background) and an almost tannic hint on the finish, both in the aromatic and the structure.
