Bluemont – Cabernet Franc 2021 – Virginia

Bluemont – Cabernet Franc 2021 – Virginia

The nose is fruity, racy, tense and offers a certain precision as well as a stretched side. It reveals notes of black cherry, crushed redcurrants and small notes of pepper associated with delicate touches of quite ripe small blue fruits as well as a hint of camphor, tobacco and toast. The palate is fruity, nicely built and offers juiciness, freshness, a nice definition, gourmandize, delicacy, suppleness as well as a nice intensity and purity of the fruit. A subtle varietal guideline (in the background) which leads the tasting. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, pulpy/concentrated blue plum and small notes of cassis associated with touches of black pepper as well as a subtle hint of flowers and sense of place (local biotope). Tannins are sapid and supple. A subtle hint of dark chocolate in the background. A harmonious, gourmand and delicate wine.
