The nose is elegant, racy, full and offers a certain power as well as an unctuous, well-balanced and frank grain. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, crushed cassis and small notes of pulpy black cherry associated with touches of roasted raspberry as well as hints of gray pepper, toast and hints of star anise. The palate is nicely built, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers a nice mineral frame, brilliance, purity, unctuosity as well as a fine aerial side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy black cherry, fleshy/juicy blackberry and small notes of unctuous blue fruits associated with touches of star anise, lily, lilac as well as subtle hints of toast/nutmeg. A very discreet hint of chocolate in the background. Tannins are mellow.
