Bluemont – Albarino 2023 – Virginia

The nose is fruity and offers a fine intensity, a certain minerality as well as a very fine pulpiness. It reveals notes of mirabelle plum, kumquat and small notes of quince associated with touches of racy minerality, lily, crushed fruits as well as a very discreet coating / sweetening hint of the oak. The palate is fruity, slightly chiseled and offers juiciness, a good definition, a certain juiciness, acidity, gourmandise, a fine pulpiness as well as a tangy frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy peach, fleshy/juicy mirabelle plum and small notes of crushed white fruits associated with touches of toasted hazelnut as well as a subtle hint of ripe pineapple and quenette. Good length. Sapidity. A subtle firmness and mellowness on the finish.
