The nose is fruity and offers fleshiness, richness and elegance. There are notes of crushed strawberry, creamy blackcurrant and, to a lesser extent, blueberry, combined with hints of crushed red berries, fine vanilla and a subtle touch of fresh pepper and liquorice. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a nice acidic structure, good definition, precision, some tension, energy, a nice acidity of the fruit and finesse in its tannic structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/acidic blackcurrant, tart raspberry and more slightly juicy/acidic berry fruit combined with a touch of cherry and a hint of violet, vanilla and a subtle touch of toastiness. The tannins are soft and smooth. Subtle hints of cocoa on the finish.
