Bersano Nirvasco Barolo del commune di Serralunga d’Alba 2021 – Barolo

Bersano Nirvasco Barolo del commune di Serralunga d’Alba 2021 – Barolo

The wine has a very pale, brilliant ruby color. The nose is juicy, gourmand, very fruity, even fleshy. It expresses notes of juicy red cherry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, and redcurrant jelly, combined with an airy herbaceous and floral side (crushed wild mint, thyme, peony, and lilac), as well as hints of nutmeg, liquorice, and vanilla in the background. There are also delicate toasted touches (hazelnut, a hint of coffee). The palate is airy and fluid (in a good way), but offers a tight structure, with polished, fine tannins and a mouth-watering acidity. It expresses notes of fresh, tangy fruit (cranberries, red cherries, raspberries, redcurrants), combined with herbal notes (wild mint, blackcurrant leaves in the background), sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg, cumin), as well as toasted notes with a good bitterness (dark chocolate, coffee, toasted hazelnut). The finish is chiseled, lively and mouth-watering. A wine with energy, but closed for the moment.
