The Umeshu has got a beautiful bright and clear orange color. You can already feel the umeshu in the glass before you even put your nose in it ! The nose is fresh and fruity with a nice definition of fruit with apricot but also candied cherry. We have very beautiful fine notes of earl grey tea. With time, it is also very fine and very fresh with touches of apricot, plum and blood orange. The palate is fresh and fruity. There is a nice sweetness and power with the alcohol from the start. We have spices with pepper and there is a nice balance on the palate despite the strong alcohol. We also have a little texture in the mouth with an astringency and above all the very sweet finish with a nice sugar and orange and apricot purée notes. Beautiful, very long finish.
