The nose is elegant and reveals complexity and a fine richness. There are notes of toast, crushed blackberry and, more slightly, crushed strawberry combined with hints of pulpy cherry and fine hints of liquorice, lily and vanilla. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, gourmandize, good definition, tension, a nice acidity, roundness, freshness, unctuousness and a certain mellowness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/juicy raspberry and, more slightly, violet, combined with hints of toast, toasted bread and fine peppercorns, almond and vanilla. A little chewiness on the finish/persistence. There is a fine hint of positive bitterness (in the background) as well as a subtle hint of fresh fig in the background. Tannins are soft.
