Baron Edmond de Rothschild, Rimapere Single Vineyard, Sauivignon Blanc 2022 – Marlborough

The wine has a pale lemon color, with green reflections. The nose expresses intense and fresh aromas of citrus and exotic fruits, combined with fragrant floral notes. We find the aromas of grapefruit, lemon juice, lemon zest, blood orange, passion fruit, fresh pineapple, white flowers (acacia, honeysuckle, hawthorn, almond blossom), as well as a refreshing vegetal and herbaceous touch (cucumber, cut grass) and a hint of fresh almond in the background. The palate is chiseled, lively and savoury. It expresses the tangy flavors of citrus (grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, blood orange, lemon juice), passion fruit, crunchy fresh pineapple, a touch of candied lemon peel and white peach, a fragrant floral bouquet (acacia, almond blossom, hawthorn), as well as a touch of fresh grass and fresh almond in the background. The texture in the mouth is round and gourmand. The finish is persistent, lemony, with good bitterness and salivating acidity. A gourmet wine, with energy and a good balance between concentration and acidity.
