The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers depth, a juicy and ripe fruitiness, as well as savoury and enveloped spiciness and delicate herbaceous notes. It expresses the aromas of morello cherry, red cherry jam, roasted red cherry, crushed blackcurrant (with a touch of crème de cassis), wild blackberry, raspberry coulis, wild strawberry, associated with notes of dried peppermint, eucalyptus, bay leaf, blackcurrant leaf (in the background), as well as liquorice, white pepper and crushed cardamom. We also find delicate floral aromas of peony and lily. The palate is gourmand, supple and juicy, with lots of fruit and a fine spiciness. It expresses notes of morello cherry, wild blackberry, red cherry jam, raspberry coulis, crushed blackcurrant (with a touch of crème de cassis), wild strawberry, associated with notes of sweet spices (liquorice, white pepper, cardamom, a hint of vanilla in the background), dried peppermint, bay leaf, eucalyptus (in the background) and blackcurrant leaf, as well as subtle floral notes (peony, lily). The texture on the palate is round, concentrated, even a little oily, with very fine, ripe and mellow tannins. The finish is quite persistent, with a pleasant bitterness and refreshing acidity. A very gourmand wine, with some depth and complexity.
