Barboursville Vineyard – Passito 2019 – Virginia

Beautiful elegant nose, fruity, fresh, complex and beautifully delicate. A great multi-layered side. It reveals notes of dried apricot, dried peach and small almost orange paste notes associated with fine hints of pineapple in syrup as well as fine hints of spices and almost dried fruit cake hints. The palate is beautifully gourmand, elegant, racy, delicate, beautifully built, precise, supple, airy and that offers a nice fat as well as unctuosity (in precision). On the palate this wine expresses notes of pineapple in syrup, vine peach jam and small notes of dried apricot associated with touches of small sweet citrus fruits, a subtle hint of peach blossom, verbena as well as a discreet hint of orange blossom (in the background) and a very discreet hint of fresh blond tobacco. Good length. A beautiful, elegant, crystalline and perfectly made Passito. Congratulations !
