Barboursville Vineyard – Nebbiolo 2020 – Virginia

Beautiful and fruity nose offering a fine concentration. It reveals notes of purple plum, blackberry and small notes of violet associated with fine touches of quite ripe small red fruits/cherry as well as a hint of fresh blond tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, tension, precision, suppleness, a certain suavity as well as a certain small freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, bright Bigareau cherry and small notes of pulpy/juicy purple plum associated with touches of tobacco as well as a very discreet almost laurel berries hint (in the background). Beautiful delicacy, gourmandise and suppleness.
