The nose expresses notes of maceration, balsamic, a racy minerality (tar, dry stone), ripe and dried fruits (red cherry, morello cherry, black plum, red plum, strawberry, dried cherry, raspberry, cranberries), lots of spices (nutmeg, cardamom, liquorice, white pepper, cumin), toasted hazelnut and toasted almond, as well as a good bitterness of cocoa and the freshness of herbs (thyme, peppermint, sage). The palate is tangy, salivating. It expresses fruity flavors (morello cherry, red cherry, black plum, red plum, raspberry, strawberry), herbs and menthol spices (liquorice, cardamom, peppermint) especially on the persistence. The finish is savory, filling, gourmet and juicy. The tannins are polished and enveloping. Good consistency and concentration, complexity and gourmandise.
