The nose is reserved, but opens after aeration in spicy and toasted aromas (white pepper, liquorice, toasted vanilla, toasted wood, toasted almond and hazelnut, coffee). The toasted notes are pronounced, but harmoniously integrated, we also find ripe and tangy fruits (crunchy strawberry, morello cherry, red cherry, a hint of blueberry, blackberry, cranberry jam), delicate and pleasant sweet spices (cardamom), associated with a fine hint of menthol (dried pine needles, dried peppermint), as well as a touch of tobacco and dried rose. The palate is savoury, sapid and expressive, with a toasted attack, slightly tertiary (undergrowth, tobacco), associated with a touch of cocoa, dried cherry, dried mint, cardamom, bouquet garni and a hint of cornflower in the background. The fruits are ripe and tangy (crunchy strawberry, morello cherry, red cherry, a hint of blueberry, blackberry). Good persistence on spices (cardamom). A wine with accuracy, finesse, and expressiveness while remaining refined, with freshness and elegance in power. The tannins are fine, tight, solid and well constructed.
