Balthus de Château de Reignac 2019 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose is elegant, fine and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain, a fine power, a fine freshness, delicacy as well as a fine minerality. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis, small notes of violet associated with small touches of fleshy strawberry as well as fine hints of violet, graphite/camphor, cardamom, grilled/roasted and discreet saline hints. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers a good definition, juiciness, a fine tension as well as a good acidulous structure, a fine intensity, a beautiful definition, harmony, a beautiful ripe/juicy fruit and freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cassis, black cherry, small notes of violet associated with touches of small black berries, wild strawberry, juicy/fresh Boysen berry as well as very fine hints of sweet spices, nutmeg, lily, coffee and roasted hazelnut. Good length. Tannins are fine, elegant, gourmand and offer a very fine chew. Good persistence.
