The wine has a deep ruby color with purple highlights. The nose offers precision, tension and complexity as well as textured and velvety touch. The fruits on the nose are concentrated and gourmand, juicy and fresh, with a delicate roasted hint: we find aromas of fresh morello cherry, roasted red cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, fresh black plum and a very delicate touch of prunes in chocolate in the background. It also expresses a warming toasted hint (toasted wood, toasted hazelnut, toasted pine needles), spices (liquorice, star anise, toasted vanilla), dark chocolate and cocoa, combined with a floral touch of peony. The palate is silky, rich, but airy. It expresses the flavors of morello cherry in chocolate, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, fresh raspberry, black plum, blackcurrant and fresh morello cherry, combined with notes of bitter chocolate, spices (liquorice, ground cumin, a hint of tonka bean and toasted vanilla), toasted almond with a good bitterness and a delicate herbal hint (dried mint, tobacco, dried black tea). The tannins are solid, young, quite fine and integrated. Beautiful acidity and persistence on a note of chocolate.
