Baglio del Cristo di Campobello – Lu Patri 2009 – DOC Sicilia

The nose is fresh, aromatic, fruity and offers elegance as well as power. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe back plum and small notes of zan associated with fine touches of small black berries, black olive, smoke, very fine hitns of olivier, spices, truffle, a subtle hint of meat, a very discreet hint of olivier, eucalyptus as well as an imperceptible hint of black pepper and fresh nutmeg. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral/juicy frame, a good definition, a chalky side, gourmandize as well as juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cassis, fleshy/juicy cherry and small notes of very ripe small black fruits associated with fine touches of blackberry, very ripe raspberry as well as fine hints of zan, graphite, smoke, very fine hints of dry black olive and a subtle hint of truffle (in the background/very discreet).
