The wine has a pale ruby color with very light garnet reflections. The nose is gourmand, fruity, with notes of fruit and roasted herbs. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, fresh morello cherry, red currant jelly, raspberry coulis, crunchy strawberry, red plum, crushed blackcurrant and blueberry, combined with notes of bouquet garni (thyme, rosemary), roasted bay leaf, wild mint, fresh basil, dark chocolate, liquorice, cloves, balsamic, fresh tobacco, fresh rose and peony (in the background). On the palate, the attack is juicy and round, gourmand, the mid-palate expresses more the character of tannins, tight, but with a velvety texture, even savoury, with notes of bitter cocoa. It also expresses the flavors of roasted red cherry, juicy fresh morello cherry, morello cherry in chocolate, cranberries (with a slight bitterness), crushed raspberry, fresh blackcurrant, crunchy strawberry and blueberry, combined with herbaceous notes of fresh basil, mint and oregano, bouquet garni (rather fresh than roasted), mild coffee, cloves and liquorice (in the background), as well as a hint of fresh rose in the background. The finish is quite long and expresses good bitterness and lively acidity.
