The wine has a pale ruby color. On the nose, it is reserved and requires aeration. It then expresses notes of fresh bigarreau cherry, red currant, cranberries, raspberry, a touch of dried blackcurrant, associated with notes of spices (white pepper, liquorice, cloves), aromatic herbs (dried mint, dried rosemary), rose petals and a slight hint of fresh tobacco. The palate is more expressive and offers a certain volume in its flavors of wild strawberry, morello cherry, dried blackcurrant and crushed raspberry. We also find some spiciness (liquorice, cloves, nutmeg), a touch of roasted aromatic herbs (roasted bouquet garni), crushed mint, dried rose and a delicate hint of roasting (toasted hazelnut, cocoa) . The finish also expresses a powdery hint of cocoa, the tight, slightly drying tannins, balanced by a salivating acidity. Good persistence and palatability.
