The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is quite aromatic and expresses a distinct resinous hint, associated with sweet notes of candied fruit. We find in particular the aromas of ripe morello cherry, red cherry jam, wild blackberry, strawberry, raspberry coulis and red plum, associated with notes of fresh pine needles, pine sap, wild mint, fresh rosemary, a fragrant floral bouquet (rose, a sweet touch of iris), as well as notes of sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg) and a hint of mint chocolate. The palate is finely tight, juicy and fruity on the attack, but expresses firm and grippy tannins on the finish. We find the flavors of dried red cherry, fresh bigarreau cherry, fresh blackcurrant, cranberries and crushed raspberry, associated with notes of liquorice, nutmeg and cumin, flowers (dried rose, iris) and aromatic herbs (peppermint, rosemary). The resinous touch of pine needles and a gourmand hint of chocolate appear on the finish, accompanied by a sapidity of ripe fruit and a salivating acidity, which balances the grippy tannins. A wine to keep.
