Azienda Agricola Negretti 2020 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers accuracy, precision, a distinguished minerality and a fine herbaceous hint, enveloped in tangy fruits. It expresses the aromas of dried red cherry, fresh bigarreau cherry, crushed raspberry, cranberries and dried blackcurrant, associated with notes of blackcurrant leaf, dried mint, bay leaf, wild flowers and dried rose, as well as just a spicy touch (white pepper, liquorice). On the first nose, we also find a slight note of alcohol, which disappears after aeration. The palate is chiseled, fresh and finely tight. It expresses the flavors of tangy bigarreau cherry, crushed raspberry, cranberries, a touch of dried red cherry and dried blackcurrant, as well as blackcurrant leaf, dried mint, dried rose and a hint of sweet spices in the background (liquorice, white pepper, cloves). The finish is quite persistent, sapid and expresses a good bitterness (in the flavors of cranberries and dark chocolate) and the slightly drying touch of tannins, balanced by a lively acidity.
