The wine has a pale ruby color, with slight garnet reflections. The nose offers a certain density, a ripe fruitiness, even with stewed and roasted notes. It expresses in particular the aromas of crushed morello cherry, macerated red cherry, crushed raspberry, wild strawberry and roasted cherry, as well as a pronounced, but not dominant, toasted hint (toasted bread, toasted hazelnut, heated wood), associated with spicy notes (liquorice, ground cumin, white pepper) and herbaceous (roasted bouquet garni, dried rosemary, dried mint). The palate is tight, even closed, with a tangy, tannic (even with a certain astringency) and slightly bitter attack. We find the flavors of tangy fruits (red cherry, cranberries, raspberry, tangy strawberry), herbaceous (blackcurrant leaf, rose leaf), spicy (licorice, cardamom) and roasted (toasted wood, toasted bread). The finish is chiseled, quite persistent, with a salivating acidity, which helps to balance the astringency of tannins.
