Azienda Agricola Cagliero – Ravera 2014 – Barolo

The nose is fruity, racy and offers juiciness as well as a fine racy power. It reveals notes of Bigarreau cherry, blackberry and small notes of cassis associated with fine touches of Quetsche plum as well as discreet hints of sense of place / laurel berries, spices and a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut / chocolate. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful freshness, a beautiful acidulous frame, precision, a small gourmandise as well as a small fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / juicy cassis, fleshy / juicy black cherry and small notes of acidulous Quetsche plum associated with fine touches of crunchy raspberry as well as discreet hints of laurel berries and spices. Tannins are structuring and very slightly firm.
