Azienda Agricola Cagliero Barolo Terlo 2020 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is fragrant and expresses savoury notes of aromatic herbs (thyme, rosemary, mint), sweet spices (nutmeg, cloves, liquorice in the background), as well as fresh tobacco and flowers (dried rose, lily, violet). We also find fruity, fresh and tangy notes: crunchy strawberry, raspberry, red plum and blueberry. The palate offers straightness, firmness and tangy fruit with good bitterness and integrated herbaceous notes. It expresses notes of raspberry, crunchy strawberry, cranberries, blueberry and red plum, associated with notes of aromatic herbs (thyme, dried rosemary, dried mint, fresh tobacco), flowers (dried rose, lily, a hint of violet in the background) and sweet spices (liquorice, cloves). The finish is airy, juicy, with notes of ripe bigarreau cherry, blueberry, as well as a hint of toast and coffee and a good bitterness in the background. Good acidity, the tannins are fine, but tight.
