The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is delicate and benefits from being aerated. It then expresses subtle floral notes (fresh rose, lily, a touch of peony), a fine spiciness (cardamom, licorice, nutmeg, white pepper), herbaceous notes on the second nose (bay leaf, fresh tobacco, a touch thyme), as well as a very light smoky and tangy touch of bergamot, limestone minerality and toasted hazelnut. We also find fruity notes of tangy bigarreau cherry, fresh raspberry, blueberry and red plum. The palate offers freshness, liveliness, great energy and a tangy fruity side on the attack. It expresses the flavors of bigarreau cherry, raspberry, crunchy strawberry, blueberry and red plum, combined with fine floral (rose, a touch of peony and lily), herbaceous (rosemary, dried mint, tobacco) and spicy notes (liquorice, a hint of white pepper and cardamom), as well as a fine bitter and smoky touch of bergamot and a hint of torrefaction, which appears at the end of the palate. The tannins are tight, grippy and give a firm structure to the wine, balanced by salivating acidity and fruity freshness.
