The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color with garnet highlights. The nose offers aromatic concentration, complexity and a textured touch. It expresses notes of fresh ripe fruit (morello cherry, black plum, blackberry, crushed strawberry, crushed raspberry), combined with a touch of jam (morellocherry jam, blueberry jam). There are also aromas of peppermint, menthol, white pepper, liquorice, a hint of toasted hazelnut and bitter almond, as well as dried rose, peony and a concentrated and textured touch of dark chocolate complemented by a very subtle note of blackcurrant leaf and bergamot, which appear after aeration. The palate is straight and chiseled, with a fresh and tangy attack. It expresses notes of red cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry and fresh black plum, combined with touches of blackberry jam, morello cherry jam, a gourmet hint of dark chocolate, mint, spices (liquorice, white pepper, nutmeg, a hint of clove), as well as a fine tertiary note – dried rose, tobacco, a delicate touch of tar in the background). The tannins are cocoa, delicate and melted, which tighten at the end of the mouth. The finish is quite dense, fruity and tangy, with notes of blackcurrant and morello cherry. A pleasant evolved notes, associated with freshness and complexity.
