Astroni – Colle Rotondella 2023 – Campi Flegrei DOC Piedirosso

A lovely, fruity, precise, spicy nose that offers a certain depth as well as a fine, elegant austerity. There are notes of black cherry, pulpy red plum and small notes of balsamic, associated with fine touches of lilac, violet, a hint of Timut pepper, mandarin zest, as well as a subtle hint of smoke, tobacco and a discreet hint of sense of the place (local biotop). The palate is fruity, juicy, tangy and presents good definition, a tangy frame, precision, suppleness, energy and a deep, crystalline side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/tangy cassis, juicy/tangy cherry and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of crunchy blue plum, as well as fine hints of fresh balsamic, racy local grove and a subtle touch of toasted and toasted almond. Good length. The tannins are precise, finely sappy and tasty.
