The nose is fruity and offers a fine concentration/richness. It reveals notes of crushed cassis, crushed blackberry, small notes of violet plum associated with fine touches of fleshy wild strawberry, liquorice stick, fine hints of dry local copse, a very discreet hint of oak and grey pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy and offers gourmandize, a fine power, a fine tension as well as suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, bright blackberry, small notes of bigarreau cherry associated with small touches of violet, pink laurel, small bright blue fruits, liquorice stick as well as a subtle hint of olive tree and an imperceptible hint of tonka bean/cardamom. Good length. Tannins are well-built. A fine power on the finish/persistence. A very discreet hint of chocolate on the persistence.
