Arnaldo Caprai – Valdimaggio 2020 – Montefalco Sagrantino

The nose is fresh, powerful, racy and offers a fine, powerful and aerial grain. There are notes of cassis, rosemary and small notes of dry scrubland associated with touches of blackberry, balsamic as well as slight hints of camphor, black olive and tobacco. The mouth is beautifuly juicy, fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, freshness, tension, a certain suavity, precision, brightness as well as brillance of the fruit. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy/ juicy cassis, pulpy/ juicy purple plum and small notes of scrubland associated with touches of black olive, blond tobacco, chocolate and toast. Slightly chalky tannins. Good length. Good work on the good bitterness.
